Vicenza, reacts to a police check by throwing a bicycle at the officers. Arrested by the State Police

Around 11:20 yesterday, the State Police Agents on duty as a "Flying Squad" of the Vicenza Police Headquarters, passing through Viale Roma, recognized a man - already known for his numerous criminal and/or police records - recipient of the preventive measure of the Mandatory Exit Notice from the Municipality of Vicenza, issued by the Police Chief.

The officers therefore decided to stop him for the necessary judicial police investigations.

However, as soon as he saw the police approaching, he fled on a bicycle.. It was reached at the height of the Railway Station Square, where he threw his bicycle at one of the officers, who had just gotten out of the service car to catch him, causing him personal injuries which were later reported with a prognosis of three days.

The criminal was still coming chase – also with the help of other “Flying Squad” operators who came to support – and blocked, after a new foot chase on Viale Venezia.

Taken to the police station and identified as JM 1997, a Moroccan citizen, of no fixed abode, was arrested for the crime of violence against a public official and reported for violating the expulsion order.
