The Civic Museums of Vicenza offer a unique opportunity to celebrate your birthday with games, workshops and cultural discoveries.

Vicenza: “Happy Birthday… at the Museum!”, an experience of art, history and fun.

Celebrating your birthday at the museum can become an experience unique and unforgettable for every child, between games e fun puzzles. Among the exhibition halls you can experience fantastic adventures made of history, art, archaeology and nature.

I Civic museums of Vicenza, with the initiative “Happy Birthday… at the Museum!”, open the doors of three prestigious locations:

  • Civic Museum of Palazzo Chiericati
  • Naturalistic Archaeological Museum
  • Museum of the Risorgimento and Resistance

To organize an unforgettable birthday, activities are proposed by the Culture Box Cooperative, which manages teaching in the civic museums.

All proposals include:

  • A first part to the Museum discovery
  • A small laboratory activity
  • Il cutting the cake and opening the presents

An educational and fun experience

“The original offer of 'Happy Birthday at the Museum', proposed in many Italian art venues, is designed to give children the unique experience of spending a few special hours playing with art and history”, explains Ilaria Fantin, councilor for culture, tourism and the city's attractiveness. “The project is part of the family activities introduced in civic museums, combining play with education, thanks to the presence of specialized operators.”

Activities offered in museums

Civic Museum of Palazzo Chiericati

  • “Hunting for Fantastic Beasts”: a journey among real and imaginary creatures, discovering the presence of animals in the museum's works.
  • “Detective at the Museum”: an investigation into a stolen object, guided by a mysterious golden book and a series of clues.

Naturalistic Archaeological Museum

  • “Once upon a time… prehistoric man”: exploring the origins of man between earth, fire and water.
  • “Birthday with Dino and the missing creatures”: a fossil hunt to discover stories and curiosities about prehistoric animals.
  • “The mythical ancient Romans!”: games and stories about the deeds and myths of the Roman era.

Museum of the Risorgimento and Resistance

  • “Green, white and red: long live the tricolour flag!”: a flag hunt between the museum and the park Villa Guiccioli.

Info and reservations

The initiatives can be booked on the opening days of the museums, from Tuesday to Sunday (from Thursday to Sunday for the Museum of the Risorgimento and the Resistance), XNUMX Opening hours 14.30pm – 18.00pm, for a duration of 2 hours and minutes 30.

  • Age: children from 5 to 11 years old
  • Participants: maximum 25 children and 2 adults
  • costs:
    • €150 for a maximum of 10 children with an educator
    • €200 da 11 to 25 children with two educators
    • Entrance ticket for each child: €2 (free entrance to the Museum of the Risorgimento and Resistance)
