Vicenza: Drug dealing and urban decay. 8 people reported to the Prefecture.
Anti-crime checks continue by the Nos and the Anti-degradation Squad of the Vicenza Local Police, particularly in the area between the Quadrilatero and the historic center, to provide a prompt and effective response to reports from residents who have recently complained of a more frequent presence of drug dealers and suspicious individuals in the vicinity of sensitive locations.
In the first week of July alone, around 40 people already known for drug use were checked; eight were reported to the Prefecture because they were found in possession of drugs of a different nature. Two young people, checked late in the evening, were found to be minors, so the officers were forced to call their parents, unaware that their children were using these substances.
The local police of Vicenza continues its incessant work of fighting drug dealing and urban decay, both through the valuable activity carried out by the NOS specialists, and thanks to the commitment of the anti-degradation team and the anti-drug dog unit.
The checks are carried out with particular attention in the most sensitive areas regarding drug dealing, to restore safety to citizens.
