Bassano del Grappa: Steals two complete packages of “Scratch and Win” with a total value of 600 euros, mandatory expulsion order notified to 40-year-old

The State Police of the Bassano del Grappa Police Station (VI) has a house search warrant was executed, ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Vicenza, against GG, a 40-year-old Italian citizen, with numerous criminal and/or police records for property crimes, resident in Vicenza, for a series of thefts of “Scratch and Win” cards perpetrated between the provinces of Vicenza and Treviso and in the Bassano area.

In particular, the investigation was launched following a intervention of the Flying Squad of the Police Station at a bar/tobacconist's in that town for the theft of two complete packages of "Scratch and Win" cards worth 300.00 Euro each. In the circumstance, the perpetrator of the theft left the shop after taking the “Scratch and Win” tickets, under the pretext of going outside to withdraw the money from the car, but then fled.

The personnel who intervened were able to trace, in a short time and thanks to the help of the municipal video surveillance system, to the perpetrator of the theft. From the continuation of the investigative activity, it was discovered that in the days immediately following, the subject, always using the same modus operandi, had committed similar thefts at other bars and tobacconists in Bassano del Grappa, Vicenza and Treviso. To the subject, moreover, it came compulsory expulsion order notified issued by Mr. Police Commissioner of the province of Vicenza with the ban on returning to the municipality of Bassano del Grappa, including its hamlets, for a period of 4 years.
