Verona hosts 'Un bel coraggio', the new contemporary dance production by Laura Corradi.

Makes its national debut the new contemporary dance production by ErsiliaDanza directed by Laura Corradi, after “Chameleons”, a production that opened a focus on the theme of change and the need to train to be versatile in an increasingly liquid society. With this new work ErsiliaDanza brings attention to courage and investigates how to use this tool to overcome our fears and the limits that seem insurmountable.

"All life is full of obstacles and tests to overcome.“, He explains Laura Corradi, choreographer, founder of ErsiliaDanza and creator of 'Un bel coraggio'. "We all deal daily with our insecurities that hold us back, creating obstacles that are difficult to overcome. The watchword: take your time, maybe five minutes, try and try again and certainly, in all of this, fail several times, because failing is good. Failing means having at least tried and sooner or later obtaining a result that brings us closer to our goal. Evolution also lies in learning to smile at one's fears and fragilities, accepting the fact that we cannot always be heroes, and this, yes, is truly an honest and courageous act."

In particular, ErsiliaDanza's new work explores the dimension of courage starting from what she knows best in her life as an artist: It tells the emotional journey that inhabits that brief period of time that precedes the entrance on stage and expands it, reads its many facets, dismembers it passing from humiliation to revenge, from confusion to laughter, from tenacity to distraction.

"In those moments, the choreographer says, 'time flows without solution, in a dense succession of events that slow down and delay the opening of the curtain. And they expand until they become the show itself. It happens, sometimes, that we are already on stage and we don't even realize it“. And the stage becomes your own terrain where you can act, infinite possibilities for courageous actions.

The short film that introduces the show is the result of the Courage and Change Project (CC), created in collaboration with Veronetta Contemporanea Festival – University of Verona.

The billboard, made from the Municipality of Verona – Department of Culture in collaboration with the Arteven Multidisciplinary Circuit, from this year it benefits from the precious contribution of Volotea, alongside culture to accompany all the Camploy activities.
