80th Anniversary of Liberation: Series of Meetings on 'War, Occupation, Resistance' at the Natural History Museum

It will kick off Friday 4 April, at 17 pm, in the 'Sandro Ruffo' conference room at the Natural History Museum, in lungadige Porta Vittoria 9, a new series of meetings on 'War Occupation Resistance'. The initiative, carried out on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the Liberation from Nazism (1945-2025), is promoted by the University of Verona, the index of books of the month and the Giorgio Zanotto Foundation, in collaboration with the Directorate of Civic Museums - Natural History Museum and the Municipality of Verona - Department of Culture. All meetings, scheduled until April 23, will start at 17:XNUMX pm.

The opening event will be attended by the Councilor for Historical Memory Jacopo Buffolo, Paolo De Paolis, director of the Department of Cultures and Civilizations at the University of Verona, and Paolo Zanotto, president of the Giorgio Zanotto Foundation. The meeting on April 4th will discuss the topic 'Italy 1943: war and regime crisis' with Luca Baldissara of the University of Bologna. Coordinated by Renato Camurri of the University of Verona.

Will follow, Wednesday 9th April, the appointment on the theme 'Occupation and collaborationism during the Italian Social Republic', with the intervention of Amedeo Osti Guerrazzi of the University of Padua. The third meeting will be held on Wednesday 16th April, on 'The Veneto in the Luce newsreels of the Italian Social Republic', with Denis Lotti of the University of Verona.
