They had formed a real baby gang the 6 minors reported by the Stresa Carabinieri at the end of a long and complex investigation. The group had turned to drug dealing and was willing to defend its territory even with violence. The military have them reported for attempted extortion and aggravated personal injury in competition. The facts date back to last November, when the mother of a 14-year-old boy, seeing him come home covered in bruises, asked him what had happened and took him to the police to file a complaint. The young man told the police that to earn some money he had started selling hashish to friends and classmates.

Word had reached other young people, more or less his age, who had set up that business before him and who did not accept any competition in the same drug dealing area. One of them pretended to be a buyer and arranged to meet the 14-year-old in a park in Baveno where, however, a group of people were waiting for him. Once surrounded in 7/8, according to the young woman's story victim, they kicked and punched him, insulted him and threatened him with further action if he spoke to anyone. Before letting him go, they gave him a week to pay 350 euros in compensation for dealing drugs in their area. After telling everything at home, a week later the boy showed up for the appointment. As soon as the young man arrived, he was again surrounded by the group of boys, two of whom were armed with a bottle and a metal pipe.

He was immediately attacked with a couple of punches to the head, but fortunately he managed to free himself and escape also thanks to the presence of some passers-by who saw the scene put the group to flight. From the story told at the barracks, the Carabinieri were able to focus on some elements that allowed them to direct the investigations towards two minors and, thanks to subsequent investigations into the places frequented by the two, they were able to give names to the remaining members of the group. Once their identification was completed, the carabinieri of Stresa, on behalf of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, They showed up at their respective homes where, in the presence of their parents, they carried out searches that allowed them to find the balaclavas and the improper clothing and weapons used during the attack. The 6 youngsters, all between 14 and 17 years old, were then reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Turin for attempted extortion and aggravated personal injury.
