Renco: Threatens Boys with Rambo Knife and Stick at Soccer Field, Arrested.

I Carabinieri of the Verbania Station they arrested a man in flagrante delicto 54 year old from Verbania for aggravated threat, resistance and injury to a public official e illegal possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence.

It all started around the 20pm last night, when a man called the Carabinieri operations centre announcing that he was about to go and confront some boys on the football pitch near his home, because he had reprimanded them for making too much noise and they had insulted him.

The carabiniere on duty at the operations centre, while still on the phone with the man and trying to calm him down and desist from any aggressive intentions, sent two patrols towards the football field of Renco.

Once they arrived, the Carabinieri found the very young footballers frightened for what happened, while the attacker had already gone away. Thanks to the boys' directions, the soldiers located the man's home and reached him.

After an initial resistance to letting the soldiers in, the man spontaneously delivered 5 knives of various sizes which he kept in the bedside table in the bedroom, including the Rambo style hunting knife with whom he had gone down to the camp, in addition to the bamboo stick used together with the dagger.

It seems that the 54-year-old's anger was triggered by the shouts and laughter coming from the changing rooms at the end of training, followed by an argument that arose after his complaints. Feeling mocked by the boys, he took the dagger and the stick and went furious to the locker room where he hit a table at the entrance. Subsequently, according to the testimonies collected, he would have pointed the big blade at the athletes, bringing it closer to the throat and abdomen of some of them.

After scolding them, he left to return to his apartment, where he was reached by the Carabinieri a few minutes later.

However, he probably still did not feel satisfied, because, while the soldiers were accompanying him to the service car to go to the barracks, he once again lashed out at the children and parents still present at the camp.

The Carabinieri managed to hold him back and block him with difficulty, so much so that one of them was immediately minor injuries then reported by the doctors of the DEA of Verbania.

The attacker was immobilized and taken to the barracks, where he was declared under arrest. By order of the magistrate on duty, he was placed under arrest pending the validation hearing currently underway.
