Turin: State Police seizes drugs and weapons, two people arrested by the Flying Squad.
Almost nine kilos of drugs, a gun and a truncheon are what the State Police seized from two people arrested in an operation by the Turin Flying Squad in Barriera Milano.
The officers, during a stakeout at a building on Via Cimarosa where drug dealing activity had been reported, noticed two young men trying to access the garages of the building, from which a strong smell of drugs was coming. The officers promptly intervened and found a backpack and three bags containing hashish and marijuana in a cavity, and a Beretta pistol, 27 cartridges and two magazines in a clutch bag.
In the apartments attributable to the two, a twenty-four year old and a twenty-two year old, both Italian, the officers found other narcotic substances and a Tonfa-style truncheon.
In total, almost 9 kilos of drugs were seized.
