The victims were awakened in the middle of the night by 2 individuals who entered their home climbing from the balcony and breaking the kitchen French window. Once inside the building, one of the two, has pointed a gun to his head of the daughter, ordering her to keep quiet while the accomplice, armed with a crowbar, ordered her to give him the money. Finally he throws her to the ground, tearing her necklace off from the neck.
The man armed with a gun headed towards the room of the mother, almost 90 years old, pointing the gun in her face e hitting her repeatedly on the temple with the handle. The elderly woman, confused and frightened, called for help. In the meantime, the two robbers, with extreme violence, ransacked the entire apartment. In the end, the daughter gave them 200 euros, and they fled.
The investigations made it possible to precisely identify the 2 perpetrators of the violent robbery and also their 2 accomplices, who had remained outside the house acting as "pole" before fleeing with them. The investigation was based on solid evidence, including images of the surveillance cameras and a video found on the cell phone of one of those arrested, seized three days later for another crime. In the video, the suspect had recorded key moments of the robbery and had kept it on his phone.
