The State Police of Turin, in carrying out activities to combat the phenomenon of robberies against commercial establishments conducted by the Flying Squad, executed the order for the application of preventive detention in prison against a 61-year-old Italian citizen, issued, at the request of the Turin Public Prosecutor's Office, by the GIP of the Court.
The man, last August, he had been arrested red-handed for a robbery inside a supermarket where he had entered armed with a small knife and with his face partially covered by a cap and surgical mask and had the cashier hand over around 200 euros. Following the validation of the arrest he was subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the Judicial Police.
The investigative activity of the Flying Squad, coordinated by the Turin Public Prosecutor's Office, allowed us to gather serious evidence of guilt against him for three other robberies, two of which were committed inside the same supermarket and one, attempted, in a newsstand, all carried out with the same modus operandi within the space of a few weeks.
