Trofarello: Highway Police and Financial Police of Turin seize 1 ton of contraband cigarettes. One responsible arrested

The subsequent inspection of the load on the means of transport allowed the identification of several boxes containing cigarettes without the state mark.

The inspection operations of the goods with the help of a patrol of "Green Basques" of the Turin Emergency Employment Group have allowed us to identify 1 ton of smuggled foreign manufactured tobacco bearing the trademark “Marlboro” likely counterfeit.

The driver of the vehicle was pulled over arrest and will have to answer for both the criminal offence of smuggling, both of the possession of false identification documents, both sanctioned with the penalty of imprisonment from 2 to 5 years.
