Pinerolo: Two people arrested for possession of false documents and cloned payment cards

The State Police, with a coordinated intervention between the Judicial Police Team and the patrols of the Turin Highway Police, has Two Romanian nationals were arrested for possession of false documents valid for travel abroad and cloned payment cards.

In fact, on the morning of Monday 28 January, in the town of Pinerolo (TO), the officers ordered a car carrying 4 Romanian citizens to stop. At the request of the officers, they provided their identity documents issued by the authorities of that State.

Following the checks carried out, doubts arose about the authenticity of the documents such as to resort to technical analysis at the Interregional Scientific Police Office in Turin and to photo-signalling of those arrested.

From the investigations it came the falsity of the documents in question was proven, thus tracing the real identity of the owner, who had numerous police records for crimes against property and against public faith. The same, moreover, was recipient of various removal orders, the most recent of which was issued in 2023 by the Biella Police Headquarters.

Since these were false identity documents valid for travel abroad, which was already sufficient reason to arrest him in flagrante delicto, the officers carried out a personal search of the man, allowing them to also find 9 magnetic cards used to purchase goods, attributable to the major fuel card suppliers, which were found to be cloned.

The man was therefore arrested for possession of false documents valid for expatriation and cloned payment cards.

The checks on the other 3 occupants of the stopped car also revealed that one of them was the recipient of a prison order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Venice as he had to serve the remainder of his sentence, which is why he was also arrested and taken to the Lorusso and Cutugno prison in Turin.
