Ivrea: Couple tries to rob a 43-year-old, a 30-year-old and a 21-year-old arrested
The State Police arrested two people for an attempted robbery committed in Ivrea: the two had acted while disguised, wearing balaclavas and hoods, and armed with a knife.
The victim, a 43-year-old man, was in via IV Martiri in Ivrea when he approached him a person who ordered him to hand over the money in his possession, threatening him with a large kitchen knife. When the man refused, declaring that he had no money with him, a second person approached, also disguised and armed with a knife. At that point, probably due to the arrival of some passerby, the two gave up and walked away in the direction of the historic center.
The agents of the State Police Station of Ivrea and Banchette immediately started looking for the criminals, retracing their escape route and tracking them down in Via dei Patrioti, the pair of robbers, a 30-year-old Italian man and a 21-year-old woman. Before being stopped, the man tried to get rid of the knife by throwing it on the ground, while the woman tried to hide it in her sweatshirt at the height of her forearm.
Of the arrest that took place the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Ivrea was notified and ordered the man to be transferred to the local prison and the woman to the "Lorusso e Cotugno" penitentiary. Both were also reported at large for the narcotic substance found in their home.
