Turin: Massive seizures of 578 kg of illegal fireworks in three municipalities.
La State Police seized in some municipalities in the southern area of Turin 578 kg of illegally held fireworks, reporting for illegal trade in explosive materials three Italian citizens aged 24, 43 and 51.
As part of the systematic services carried out by the police officers of the Administrative and Social Police Division of the Turin Police Headquarters, aimed at combating the illegal trade of illegal fireworks which has intensified as the Christmas holidays approach, operators have detected suspicious purchases by a 24-year-old from Piossasco (TO).
The officers inspected his home, finding 8 boxes sent by courier containing explosive material; many other packages were piled up in the private courtyard and inside a garage/tavern, for a total weight equal to 332 kg.
The shipping boxes were found to be closed inside out, with the warning signs hidden from the couriers, who were therefore unaware of the contents. Investigations revealed that the young man, reported by the police, had purchased the goods on social media.

A very similar seizure occurred a few hours earlier in the municipality of Beinasco (TO): A 43enne he kept a stock of in a closet of his apartment almost 80kg of pyrotechnic material.
The third complaint concerns a 51 year old resident in Volvera (TO), who was illegally holding the same type of fireworks in a shed in the garden of his house. The material found, equal to 160 kg, was seized.
