Trento: uses pepper spray to steal a gold chain worth 1800 Euros. Stopped and arrested by the Local Police.

Just before midnight yesterday, in the Albere district, a student was approached by a young man who first held him by the arm and then tore a gold chain worth around 1800 euros from his neck.

The student tried to resist the violence, but the robber took out pepper spray and used it against the boy. In the meantime, a friend of the university student tried to intervene in his defense, but a second person - creating a diversion - in turn tried to rob him, then fleeing in the direction of Via Giusti.

The two students despite the effects of the stinging substance, they chased one of the two subjects who continued to spray pepper spray in the direction of them. A local police patrol arrived on site and was checking the area and the officers, having seen the scene, immediately blocked the boy - of Moroccan nationality - who was then arrested in flagrante delicto for robbery. Also due to the seriousness of the incident, the Public Prosecutor ordered the subject to be sent to prison immediately.

The presumption of innocence applies to those under investigation until their guilt is ascertained with an irrevocable sentence.
