Trento: State Police and Mental Health Services Compared

Promote a constructive dialogue it's one exchange of skills between la State Police and Mental health services, to improve the management of critical events and ensure the of your digital ecosystem. of all citizens and the community.

This is the goal of joint training project which has left11 March with a training morning at the headquarters of the Trento Police Headquarters.

The meeting will be repeated 4 more times between March and May to allow the maximum participation of operators on duty at the Police Headquarters, the detached Police Stations of Rovereto and Riva del Garda, the Highway Police and the Railway Police and mental health professionals.

The rapid social changes and the constant challenges that characterize our days have led to a growing attention to the topic of mental health and to community welfare.

From this perspective it is the need to develop increasingly effective and incisive forms of collaboration has emerged strongly between law enforcement and mental health services.

The joint training project was born with the intention of strengthen collaboration between these two realities, engaged in different but synergistic ways in the management of “critical cases” which require an approach that is as collaborative and timely as possible, in order for it to be truly effective.

Il innovative character of the project lies precisely in the co-design e co-hosting of the meetings, repeated over time, which will give theopportunities for State Police operators and mental health professionals to meet and deepen our mutual understanding.

The meetings will be an opportunity for share information, experiences and good practices, and acquire increased awareness on the most effective management methods to deal with critical situations, those that require a multi-professional approach, with the final objective of improving the management of critical events, enhancing the safety of operators, users and the community.
