In recent months, the active and indispensable collaboration of citizens brought the Environmental Unit of the Local Police identify the perpetrators of numerous waste dumpings contesting them fines of up to 108 euros, as provided for by the Regulation for the integrated management of urban waste.
Citizens often have phoned the local police and promptly reported the situation e thus allowing the identification of the subjects. In other cases however – such as that of a distributor in Trento south – it was the surveillance system to enable investigations to be successfully completed.
Luckily in none of the cases was there a question of abandonment of dangerous material but always undifferentiated waste such as clothes, filters, etc.
Here – in summary – are the various cases.
In the month of September for several times to People residents detected the presence of abandoned garbage bags not differentiated in their bins intended for separate collection. The investigations have allowed us to discover that In the early hours of the morning a van arrived from out of town from which a person came down and placed the bags in the bins belonging to the user of the person who made the report.
In another case two persons residents in the municipality of Trento got out of a car they dumped some black bags full of waste into the Fersina torrent. Thanks to the license plate number reported by the citizen who had noticed them, it was possible to trace the perpetrators and two violations were notified.
In an other three people in a car they abandoned a black bag of waste in via Laghetti; In the Canova's park instead a abandonment of unsorted waste it happened in the bins of the park itself; in another one black bag full of various types of waste was abandoned at a city ecological island from a resident of the area and another one to Gardolo in the month of November.
Finally in the month of October two episodes occurred in two petrol stations with the abandonment by some citizens residing in our Municipality of miscellaneous material such as, for example, a car battery.
