Il Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of BrindisiIn partnership with General Management of the ASL local, organized a special visit to the Department of Pediatrics of the “Perrino” Hospital, with the aim of bringing a moment of joy to the hospitalized children.

The meeting, which took place in the late morning of 19th December, saw the participation of the Colonel Leonardo Acquaro, Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Brindisi, accompanied by a delegation of the force. During the visit, gifts were donated custom gadgets to the little patients, as a symbolic and affectionate gesture. Two people also took part in the delivery of the gifts Volunteer Carabinieri, who have been collaborating with the pediatric department for years through the service of clown therapy, offering smiles and moments of relaxation to children and their families.

This gesture of solidarity, particularly significant in the run-up to the Christmas holidays, represents a concrete demonstration of the Arma's closeness to the most fragile and needy. The aim is not only to offer a moment of serenity, but also to remember the role of the Arma as a pillar of solidarity and support for the community.

The initiative embodies the principles of “proximity” and “Carabiniere as social worker”, stressing the importance of the service to the community and tangible commitment towards the weakest. A Ray of light for children and their families, in a particularly delicate moment such as hospitalisation.
