Brindisi, strengthening of territorial control services: an arrest for theft. 

For a peaceful Easter holiday, the Brindisi Police Commissioner has ordered the strengthening of local control services aimed at combating crimes in general and especially those of a predatory nature.

On Saturday night, the State Police arrested a young man from Brindisi, already known to the police, caught in the act of committing a theft against a food vending machine.

The accurate territorial control services carried out by the police in the capital and in the most peripheral and isolated areas made it possible to interrupt the action of the young man who, armed with an axe, had just forced the coin container of the vending machine, stealing its contents. and, having discovered himself, attempted to leave the place in a car.

He was stopped after a few meters and the police found other burglary tools inside his car.

Therefore, the boy was arrested for the crimes of aggravated theft, possession of objects suitable for burglary and offense. Furthermore, charges were also filed for violations of the Highway Code for driving with a revoked license.

The objects found were seized and made available to the Judicial Authority; the money removed was returned to the owner of the company managing the distributor.

After the ritual formalities, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, the young man was taken to his home under house arrest.
