Mesagne: three reported for unjustified possession of tools for burglary and copper theft.

The State Police officers, during extraordinary territorial control services for the prevention and repression of crimes against property in the Province of Brindisi, ordered by Police Chief Lionetti, reported to the Judicial Authority three individuals resident in the city of Brindisi because they were found in possession of tools suitable for burglary and presumably intended to commit copper thefts.

Specifically, the personnel of the Flying Squad of the Mesagne Police Station, on the SS7 bypass between Mesagne and Brindisi, noticed three individuals on board a van, stopping at the edge of the roadway intent on looking around cautiously.

The subjects, all burdened by numerous criminal and police records for property crimes, were found in possession and duly seized of various tools suitable for burglary, including a hand tool of the pliers type designed to cut copper and aluminum cables and a saw with a hacksaw blade, presumably used to steal copper cables.

Therefore, the three individuals were reported at liberty to the Judicial Authority for the crime of unjustified possession of burglary tools and notified of the start of the administrative procedure of the Mandatory Exit Notice with a ban on returning to the municipality of Mesagne (BR).

The personnel of the Flying Squad of the Mesagne Police Station also found a stolen truck with crane in the province of Lecce, in the same areas where the aforementioned individuals had been identified and reported the previous evening.

The vehicle had just been abandoned on the edge of the farm road, perhaps in this case too to be used to carry out copper thefts.
