Fasano: extraordinary territorial control services, one arrest for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing, 4 people reported for driving under the influence of alcohol.

As part of the services arranged by the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Brindisi aimed at raising the level of crime prevention, ensuring a framework of serenity and increasing the perception of safety of the citizens, in Fasano and in the surrounding hamlets, the Carabinieri of the local Company have carried out numerous territorial control services with the use of patrols and canine units of the Carabinieri along the most frequented streets and squares.

During these activities:

– a man was arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing; following a house search, he was found in possession of 120 grams of hashish as well as various materials for packaging the substance, all of which were seized;

– the following have been reported:

· two people respectively for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license;

· two people for escaping from house arrest, as they were caught outside their respective homes without justifiable reason;

– 9 people were reported to the Prefecture for possession of narcotics for personal use, three of whom also had their licenses revoked because they were caught driving their respective cars. The narcotics found were seized.

Finally, within the scope of the activity connected with road safety also carried out through “high visibility” checkpoints, numerous violations of the highway code were found, sanctioned with fines for a total of approximately 4.500,00 euros.

The extraordinary territorial control services will continue to guarantee high safety standards for citizens.
