Brindisi: A woman was attacked while walking her dog. A young illegal immigrant armed with a knife was identified and reported.

In the evening of November 26, 2025, the crews of the UPGSP patrol cars from the Brindisi Police Headquarters they intervened urgently in Provincial Road to San Vito, following a report to 112NUE by some passers-by.

Reportedly, a woman walking with her dog had been suddenly attacked by a young man, apparently a foreigner, armed with a knife.

The attack happened for no apparent reason, near the dormitory located along the provincial road.

The victim's testimony: she was pushed, hit and threatened

Upon arrival, officers found the woman visibly shaken, but capable of providing fundamental information for the investigation.

The victim said that the man: he pushed and shoved her, he punched her in the face, he also kicked the dog, he injured her finger with a cutting weapon, causing a bloody cut.

A brutal and unprovoked attack that required the immediate intervention of the officers and the launch of an investigation.

A lightning investigation: the culprit was identified thanks to the cameras.

The State Police officers immediately started: a patrolling the area, image collection of the video surveillance systems present in the area, the analysis of the movements recorded in the minutes before and after the attack.

Thanks to knowledge of the area and to the experience gained by the agents, on the morning of November 27th it was the suspect has been tracked down.

During the check, the boy was wearing the same clothes of the attack.

In his pouch the officers also found: a knife with white handle, identical to the one described by the victim and visible in the video surveillance footage.

The woman, accompanied to the police station to formalize the complaint, he immediately recognized the attacker.

The young man, who turned out to be illegal alien on the national territory, it was referred to the Judicial Authority for the violent conduct committed.

At the same time, the Immigration Office of the Brindisi Police Headquarters has started the procedure for expulsion, for which the order was issued today clearance from the Public Prosecutor's Office.
