Teramo: illegal work and violations of safety regulations, a construction site closed by the Carabinieri

Two out of three workers were "under the table", furthermore one of the two irregular workers could not be hired as he did not have his residence permit in order.

Teramo: illegal work and violations of safety regulations, a construction site closed by the Carabinieri.

The Carabinieri of the Teramo Labor Inspectorate Unit, together with their colleagues from the territorial force and officials from the technical area of ​​the Teramo Labor Inspectorate, during the campaign of inspections of construction sites in the province, inspected a construction site operating in Crognaleto (TE) in a private building.
Following the inspection, various irregularities were detected in both labor law and workplace safety matters.

In particular, it was ascertained that: out of three workers, two were "under the table", furthermore one of the two irregular workers could not be hired as he was not in compliance with his residence permit because he was in Italy not for work reasons; lack of documents relating to the operational safety plan and that of the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding.
Following these violations, the construction site's activity was suspended twice, both for undeclared work and for the lack of documents regarding workplace safety.

In addition to the reports to the judicial and administrative authorities, the owner of the company will have to pay fines totalling 16.500 euros.
The control services will continue uninterruptedly throughout the Province and in addition to construction sites, other activities will also be inspected in order to put a stop to accidents in the workplace and to combat the phenomenon of "undeclared work".
