Taranto: Hashish and cocaine dealing in Tamburi neighborhood, two arrests

The State Police arrested a 50-year-old woman and a young man in his early 20s because they were presumed responsible for the crime of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

The Hawks of the Flying Squad, during the usual anti-drug operations, passing through via Parini in the Tamburi district, have noticed in a building an unusual movement of young people, many of whom they knew were drug addicts. The police have started targeted surveillance operations, noting that in an apartment located on the ground floor of that building a woman and a boy took turns at the entrance probably to give a dose of narcotic substance to the customers who continuously entered that building. Determined to investigate further what they had previously noticed, they waited for the woman to return home to surprise them before the door closed.

from house search, the police recovered in the kitchen, inside a plastic egg, approximately three grams of cocaine, three grams of hashish, a precision scale still soaked in the narcotic substances just recovered and numerous scraps of white cellophane used to package the doses. In the boy's bedroom, the Hawks also found, inside a bucket, 17 blocks of hashish for a total weight of about one and a half kilos and an electronic heater useful for the perfect maintenance of the narcotic substance as well as some manuscripts with notes, names and numbers attributable to their presumed drug dealing activity. The control extended to the terrace of the building then allowed us to also recover another 150 grams of hashish.

The documents have been sent to the Judicial Authority, the woman and the boy were arrested and placed under house arrest.
