Taranto, drug dealing at home: 46-year-old arrested

The State Police found out a profitable one drug dealing activity and a convicted criminal from Taranto arrested deemed presumed responsible for the crime of possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of trafficking.

In the central Via Duca di Genova, for a few days, the Falcons of Flying Squad had noticed a strange movement of young drug addicts near a building in which he was resident a known 46-year-old criminal habitually addicted to dealing in narcotic substances and in particular cocaine.

The targeted observation services made it possible to collect useful clues to believe that the subject, before allowing the presumed customer to enter for the transfer of a dose, identified him through the video intercom to give him access to the landing of his apartment located on the first floor protected by an illegally installed iron grate. The policemen, without being seen, they managed to enter that condominium, positioning themselves on the flight of stairs on the upper floor of that apartment.

The search of the apartment allowed recovery inside a kitchen cabinet a cellophane wrapper with approximately 20 grams of cocaine inside and in the bedroom another gram of the same narcotic substance.

Furthermore, in different points of the house, the Hawks managed to recover more than 2.500 euros in banknotes of various denominations, seized because they were believed to be the proceeds of the illicit drug dealing activity.

Having sent the documents to the competent Judicial Authority, the 46-year-old was arrested and taken to the local prison.
