Grottaglie: State Police Checks. A Young Man and a 40-Year-Old Reported

Staff Grottaglie police station noticed a group of boys standing there looking suspicious at the end of a dead-end street. Given the late hour and the unusual situation, the police decided to proceed with a check.

During the identification operations of those present, their attention was drawn by the presence of a young man with a pitbull on a leash who showed clear signs of aggression.

Assuming that the boy could keep that dog with him also to deliberately avoid a possible and more thorough check, the officers with due caution after having identified him proceeded with a personal search which has allowed us to recover a “brass knuckles“, equipped with an iron handle and a pointed folding knife black in colour with a 6,5 cm long iron blade.

Boy was it reported while at liberty because he was presumed responsible for the crimes of unjustified carrying of weapons and for illegal possession.

The same staff intervened at the SERD Center local where it had been reportedassault on a doctor.

The police, alerted by a security guard on duty in that medical facility, learned from the health workers' story that a mens by the way already known because he was already a patient at that center and he wanted a dose of methadone even though he had collected his the day before.

To their denial the man he allegedly went into a rage, damaging some office furniture and verbally attacking the health workers.

Only the prompt intervention of the security guard would have prevented further serious consequences. The man - a convicted of 40 years – after realizing that he certainly wouldn't be able to get what he wanted he managed to escape without leaving any traces.

The agents after having collected all the useful elements aimed at tracing him, they managed to track him down and then report him at large because he was presumed responsible for the crime of private injuries and interruption of public service.
