Grottaglie: aggravated injuries and threats against his partner, 32-year-old reported by the State Police

The staff of the Grottaglie Police Station intervened in the middle of the night in an apartment in that city center because a young woman in an agitated manner asked for their intervention for a violent argument between her mother and her current partner who in the moment allegedly first grabbed a gun and then a knife. Given the seriousness of the situation described by the girl, the police rushed to the scene and, going up to the indicated apartment, they met the man who, from his first statements, confirmed the argument with his partner who had left before their arrival.

On the basis of the report received previously, the officers, after having identified the man present in that apartment was also found to be subjected to the police measure of probation, have started a check aimed at possibly finding the reported weapons: with the collaboration of the latter, a blank-firing pistol without bullets was recovered in a safety deposit box in the bedroom and a 30 cm long knife in the bathroom.

After about ten minutes, while the control activity was still in progress, the woman also returned and confirmed to the police officers present that she had had a heated argument with her partner but without any particular consequences.

Therefore, despite the woman's reticence and her refusal to report the incident, after having collected the testimonies of her relatives who gradually shed light on the incident and in consideration of the discovery of the two reported weapons, the Judicial Authority deemed it appropriate to report the man at liberty for the alleged crimes of injuries and threats to his partner.
