Taranto: Drug dealing inside a recreational club in the Tamburi area, 3 men arrested
The State Police arrested three men as presumed responsible for the crime, in collaboration with each other, of possession for the purpose of dealing in narcotics, one of the three also for illegal possession of weapons and ammunition as well as for receiving stolen goods. A club in the Tamburi district was also seized.

The Hawks of the Flying Squad, following a detailed info-investigative activity aimed at contrasting drug dealing activity in the Ionian capital, suspecting that a profitable drug dealing activity had been started inside a recreational club in the Tamburi area, began to monitor the movements in the area.
Suspicions arose when they noticed that numerous young people went to the aforementioned club, especially during the evening hours, who, after knocking on the entrance door, obtained a pass to enter the premises, where they remained for a few minutes, and then hastily left, disappearing without a trace.
During the check carried out by the police, 31 doses of cocaine-type narcotic substances were found on one of those present, a 20-year-old from Taranto, for a total weight of approximately 8 grams, the sum of 245 euros, a smartphone, a key to access the premises and an additional set of keys, while a second man, a 39-year-old, spontaneously handed over a dose of cocaine weighing approximately half a gram.
Inside the club, however, several sheets of paper were found on a table with names and numbers written on them, likely attributable to the illicit activity, and 81 magnetic cards for refueling, each worth 50 euros.
The search was also extended to the 31-year-old's home, where the officers found themselves in front of the place where the narcotic substance was presumably prepared and stored, inside a safe, opened with one of the keys present in the bunch, were kept: a cellophane package containing cocaine with a total weight of approximately 45 grams; 67 doses of cocaine-type substance with a total weight of approximately 23 grams. Also in the same house, the following were found in three different safes: a 7,65 caliber cartridge, a clandestine semi-automatic pistol, 7,65 caliber with erased serial number, equipped with a single-stack magazine containing 7 7,65 caliber cartridges; a clandestine 22 caliber revolver pistol containing 5 cartridges of the same caliber. In the bedroom closet, a bulletproof vest was hidden, as well as another single-stack magazine attributable to a 9 caliber pistol containing 8 cartridges of the same caliber. While in a bathroom partition, a transparent package was hidden containing 2 .38 special caliber cartridges and a 7,65 caliber cartridge and on the study table a company stamp bearing the name of the owner and 6 precision scales, all working. Finally, during the search of the stairwell the police also found a further dose of cocaine-type substance weighing approximately 1,5 grams hidden in a notice board on the first floor, packaged in the same way as those found inside the house.
At the end of the search of the apartment, the investigators returned to the club, inside which there were still two men, one of the two was the one who had been found in possession of a dose of cocaine while the second was the owner of the company stamp found in the 31-year-old's home. At the sight of the police, the two men attempted to get rid of the cocaine on a table by spreading it on the floor wet from the rain.
The two were subjected to a search, a total of 29 doses of cocaine-type substances weighing a total of 10 grams were found on them; a key to open the club; two cell phones; the sum of 95 euros and two sheets of paper containing names and numbers.
Having sent the documents to the competent Judicial Authority, the three were arrested and transferred to the "Bruno Magli" prison in Taranto, while the club was placed under sequestration.
