The constant anti-drug activity of the Hawks of the Flying Squad has allowed us to identify a very young Taranto man resident in Old Town that for some time now – especially in the evening hours, on board a large-engined scooter he commuted between his home and the Paolo VI neighborhood, presumably to transport narcotics. After a few days of stakeout that allowed us to outline his movements and his route between the two neighborhoods the police decided to intervene to give substance to their suspicions.
The policemen, after positioning themselves along the route that the young man usually took every evening, they stopped him in via Napoli immediately after Ponte di Pietra. The immediate search immediately bore fruit. In the jacket pocket, a package containing more than 100 grams of cocaine, still in stone, with a significant economic value, was recovered. After having transmitted the documents to the Judicial Authority, the young man was arrested and placed under house arrest.
