Rosolini: Carabinieri arrest 3 people for extortion, aggravated theft and receiving stolen goods

I Carabinieri of the Rosolini Station they arrested a 36 year old man and 2 women aged 33 and 46 in execution of an order for the application of a precautionary measure in prison issued by the Court of Syracuse.

The three, with criminal record for crimes against property and the person, would have been responsible for several episodes of Theft aggravated, subtracting objects, money and documents from parked cars in the city centre, in one case forcing the external glass window of a commercial activity in Rosolini and, in some cases, asking sums of money to the owners to return the stolen documents.

In other circumstances, the perpetrators of the thefts also came into possession of credit cards and prepaid cards which they found inside the cars and which they then used at commercial establishments to purchase goods.

From investigations conducted by Carabinieri and coordinated by Prosecutor of the Republic of Syracuse, following the numerous complaints filed by the victims of the crimes, and through the elements acquired also through various video surveillance systems, as well as further checks carried out, the seriousness of the circumstantial evidence against the 3 suspects who have been arrested and associated with the “Cavadonna” District Prisons in Syracuse for man and “Piazza Lanza” in Catania for the 2 women.
