The Carabinieri reconstruct the phases of the ambush which occurred at the end of the Carlentini – Francofonte football match.

The Carabinieri of Syracuse are close to identifying one of those responsible for the shooting.
At the end of the meeting, a young 22-year-old from Francofonte, aboard his car, was flanked by another car from which several shots were fired which hit him in the side.

The injured boy was transported to the emergency room of the Lentini hospital where the doctors found that his life was not in danger.
The intense investigations, aimed not only at identifying the authors of the crazy gesture but also at reconstructing the dynamics of the facts, were started immediately and, thanks to the timely investigations, based primarily on the viewing of the footage from the cameras placed in proximity to the event and on the "immediate" collection of statements from all those present, as well as from people close to one of the authors, the answers arrived in a very short time, so much so that, within a few hours of the event, they were reconstructed, step by step, all phases of the criminal event.

In detail, the military were able to reconstruct the dynamics of the facts and in particular to ascertain that the incident began right at the end of the match and due to previous resentments for trivial reasons, a trivial argument suddenly transformed into a tragic event characterized by a gunman who, regardless of the danger, began shooting wildly with the support of his driver.
At first it was thought that the episode could be connected to the football match, but from the developments of the investigations immediately opened by the Carabinieri, directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Syracuse, thanks to a careful examination of the municipal video surveillance systems and private homes and, above all, from the fundamental testimonies and statements of acquaintances, friends and relatives of the people involved, the Carabinieri have reconstructed the salient phases of the ambush which have offered significant clues for the identification of at least one of the perpetrators.
