With Volkswagen TriO Desenzano il 15 16 and October the two days of swimming, cycling and running on the Brescia side of Lake Garda will come to life again thanks to TriO Events, Municipality of Desenzano del Garda e Volkswagen.

Friday 14 October at 10am, at the Sala della Musa of the “Angelo Anelli” Municipal Library (Viale Agello 5, Rivoltella) the presentation to the press of the event, which had to be postponed due to the upcoming elections. SATURDAY 15 OCTOBER THE OLYMPIC DISTANCE

From 14.30 pm everyone is ready on the start line, set up on the Desenzanino beach, for the start of theOlympic (1500m swim – 40km bike – 10km run). In swimming portion they will head off the Gulf of Desenzano through the first two buoys, following which they will return to the coast for the last stretch, truly exciting due to the engaging support of citizens and tourists. The exit from the water is on the terrace in front of Piazza Cappelletti, 200m from the transition area.

La cycling fraction will develop in the Desenzano hinterland, after having faced the lakeside up to Rivoltella, skirting the hamlets of Montonale and San Pietro, among the moraine hills. Afterwards, we will enter the territory of Lonato, with the only real climb of 600 m and an 8% gradient between Centenaro and Castelvenzago (km 9), and in the beautiful Solferino (km 17) and then head to pozzolengo. After passing the hamlet of Grole, you will cross the undulating countryside of San Martino della Battaglia, returning to the outward route and finally, with the last 7 km, in the transition area. There race fraction (2 laps of 5 km) will focus on the stretch of Gardesana that runs along the lake, in the direction of Padenghe. The halfway point will be at Punta del Vo' and then take the same route towards the finish line in front of Piazza Cappelletti.

SUNDAY WE WILL TAKE TO THE FIELD FOR THE SPRINT

The departure of the race will be on Sunday 16 October at 14.30pm Sprint (750m swim – 20km bike – 5km run). In swimming portion, after the first clearance mark, veering to the right, the triathletes will have to swim along a straight line to reach the final mark in front of Piazza Cappelletti. There cycling fraction will always travel through the hilly hinterland of Desenzano reaching up to San Martino della Battaglia where the return to Desenzano will begin, while the race fraction will include a 5km lap on the same route as Saturday.
