Big news for the Varese sports season starting in September.

The municipal council approved the “Sport for All” project thanks to which families with an ISEE of up to 20 thousand euros will be able to have free access to the sports courses offered by the sports associations that will join the project.

In exchange, the associations or companies that will participate in the initiative, tariff reductions will be applied compared to the standard rental rate of sports facilities, based on the number of free quotas made available to people in financial difficulty who will participate in the activities offered.

Sports associations and clubs registered in the National Register of amateur sports activities, affiliated with the National Sports Federation (FNS), Associated Sports Disciplines (DSA) or Promotional Bodies (EPS), as indicated in the National Register of activities, will be able to join the project. sports and amateur events held by the Department of Sport.

Interested families in possession of the required requirements will be able to choose the sporting activity of their interest promoted by the associations or companies adhering to the project, the list of which can be consulted on the website of the Municipality of Varese starting today, Tuesday 6 August 2024. The application can be made to the Municipal Sports Office by submitting a specific application which can be downloaded directly from the municipal website.

“With the Sport for Everyone project we intend to open the doors of sporting activity to all families in Varese, even to those who find themselves in a situation of economic difficulty – explains councilor Stefano Malerba – this is why we started this initiative which provides free admission for families who want their children to practice healthy sport. Inclusion and accessibility therefore, why we want sport to be truly practiced by everyone in Varese and in particular by the new generations. No boy or girl should be left out. Obviously, the sports organizations that join our project will receive a tariff reduction for the use of municipal sports facilities".
