On the morning of May 27th, at the headquarters of the CIP - Italian Paralympic Committee, the memorandum of understanding between the Italian Paralympic Committee – CIP and the Observatory for Security Against Discriminatory Acts – OSCAD, of the Ministry of the Interior - Department of Public Security, to launch the project dedicated to high schools "Rights and inclusion against any discrimination” which will involve numerous schools starting next September.

The agreement, signed by the President of the OSCAD Prefect Vittorio Rizzi, Deputy Director General of Public Security with deputy functions and by the President of the CIP Luca Pancalli, includes a commitment to collaborate for an extended program across the national territory of promotion of sporting activity for people with disabilities, inspired by the principle of the right to sport for all and to combat any form of discrimination linked to any condition of disability.

The athletes of the Fiamme Oro Sports Group of the Giulia Ghiretti State Police, for swimming, which he wanted to underline how much it is an honor for you to be able to represent the State Police through sport and how necessary it is to speak to children in schools to encourage them to report the incidents of bullying they have suffered, and René De Silvestro, for alpine sitting skiing, who, speaking of his experience, highlighted the need for send a positive message especially in schools. I feel - Rene said – as a sort of mission, especially towards people who don't find the courage to speak.

Il Prefect Rizzi, President of OSCAD, highlighted that the State Police, through its Sports Club, has always promoted the individual empowerment and growth of the athlete. But this was not enough, a qualitative leap was needed: inserting the Paralympic athlete into a work context. Today 16 Paralympic athletes are employees of the State Police and another 12 will soon begin the journey.

Il President of the CIP Luca Pancalli he stated that we need to move from the season of compassion to the season of awareness. Even convincing just one person is an achievement. As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, let's remember that what we do can only be a drop in the ocean, but if we didn't do it the ocean would have one drop less.
