Regarding the appointment of Andrea Varnier as the new CEO of the Foundation Milano Cortina 2026, the President Giovanni Malagò released the following statement:
"I am honored to welcome you – on behalf of the entire team of Milano Curtain 2026 - andd Andrea Varnier, appointed new CEO of the Foundation. His input, shared with the founding members through the appropriate methodology used by Government and specifically from Minister Andrea Abodi, is a fundamental step to give shape and content to
programmatic lines of Olympic and Paralympic project. The experiences gained from Andrea Varnier, combined with the recognized capabilities – e to the vocation a Five Circles which has always characterized his path professional – these are important premises and allow us to renew the commitment to realize a dream that will make the whole proud Country".

MILAN CORTINA 2026 FOUNDATION
The objective of the Foundation Milano Cortina 2026, in agreement with the International Olympic Committee
(IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI),
the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP), the Cities of Milano and Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Region of Veneto and the Lombardy Region, the autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, is to plan, organize, finance and implement the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Curtain in 2026.
