Spadafora has decided: the championship starts again on June 20th.

Milano, 28 May 2020 – After the meeting with the members of Italian football, the minister of sport, Vincent Spadafora announced that we will return to play.
The announcement that was in the air has arrived: amidst a thousand difficulties and complex agreements on the protocol, the Serie A starts again 20nd June.
But football could return to the field even earlier, already next year 13nd June, with the return semi-finals of Coppa Italia, Napoli-Inter and Juventus-Milan. However, at the moment this remains a auspice, the certainty is that we will return to the field on June 20th with Serie A.

“In the event of a new stop, the FIGC has both a plan B, i.e. play-offs and play-outs, and a plan C, i.e. the crystallisation of the ranking”, announced the Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora

The main problem today is one: the mandatory quarantine for the whole team at the first positive case. “At the moment – ​​said Spadafora – the CTS excludes the possibility of easing the quarantine”. To date, the CTS has not considered this element to be overcome, confirming that the quarantine will necessarily be 14 days for everyone, including footballers.
