Grand Prix delle 2 Valli: a special edition kicks off in the year of 'Liguria 2025 European Region of Sport'.

Genoa is preparing to experience a year dedicated to sport with the return of the Grand Prix delle 2 Valli. The 2025 edition, the third in history, will be an unmissable event, included in the prestigious program of 'Liguria 2025 - European Region of Sport'. From March to December, 21 running races are planned through the suggestive landscapes of the Scrivia Valley and the Polcevera Valley, involving 9 sports associations, 3 pro loco and 10 Ligurian municipalities.

An event that enhances the territory

The initiative, supported by the Liguria Region, has as its main objective the promotion of outdoor sports and the enhancement of the territory through physical activity.

Regional Councillor for Sport Simona Ferro said: "The Grand Prix delle 2 Valli aims to promote the natural beauty of the Scrivia Valley and the Polcevera Valley, enhancing them through sport and physical activity. The same objective, applied throughout the Ligurian territory from Ventimiglia to Sarzana, is present in the guidelines of 'Liguria 2025 – European Region of Sport', with particular reference to 'outdoor' sports. We could not, therefore, not renew our support for this important event, whose numbers are growing compared to the first edition.” The councilor then underlined: “On the occasion of this important European recognition, the Grand Prix delle 2 Valli has added new stages, demonstrating how in such a short time the event has managed to gain an impact on citizens, local authorities and associations in the area”.

Following the success of the 2024 edition, which saw the participation of over 2.000 athletes, the 2025 Grand Prix promises to be even more exciting, with a growing number of participants and increasingly challenging courses.

The Genoese stages are the perfect synthesis of our territory which, due to its peculiarities, allows us to move from an urban scenario to a mountain one”.
