Champions League: Atalanta and Milan both lose away.

Bitter evening for Atalanta and Milan who lost 2-1 against Bruges and 1-0 against Feyenoord respectively. The return match, both at home, will be crucial for the two Italian teams, in which they will have to overturn the results.

Club Brugge-Atalanta 2-1

In the first half, the first conclusion is for the home team with a shot from outside the area by Tzolis saved by Rui Patricio in the 7th minute. In the 15th minute, the Belgians take the lead; Jutglà converts Talbi's assist for 1-0. The Goddess' first chance comes in the 25th minute with Zappacosta's volley that ends high over the crossbar. Bruges doesn't slow down and in the 30th minute De Cuyper sends the ball to the outside of the net from a good position. In the 40th minute Retegui tries, turning well on the edge of the area, but his shot grazes the post. Atalanta equalizes a minute later with Pasalic who heads the ball past Mignolet to make it 1-1.

The second half begins with another chance for the home team; in the 53rd minute De Cuyper almost scores with a great left-footed volley from the edge of the area. The Goddess tries to respond with Zappacosta in the 65th minute; the Nerazzurri winger heads a sure header from Cuadrado's cross, but Mignolet denies him the joy with a super save. A minute later the Bergamo team wastes another chance, this time with Samardzic, who hits a terrible shot from a sure header and sends it wide. The pace slows down towards the end until the 83rd minute when De Ketelaere tries to score for his former team, but Mignolet deflects it into a corner. In the 91st minute the referee punishes Hien's hand on Nilsson's face in the penalty area and awards a very questionable penalty; it is precisely Nilsson who doesn't make a mistake and makes it 2-1 at the last second. It ends 2-1.

Gasperini's team certainly has to complain about the penalty awarded at the end, but despite this, tonight we did not see the usual Atalanta, who were surprised by the pace of their opponents. The Goddess is called to win by two goals in the return leg at home if they want to continue their journey in this Champions League.

Feyenoord - Milan 1-0

In the first half, the Rossoneri shot in the 3rd minute with Joao Felix, but Wellenreuther blocked. After a few moments, Feyenoord took the lead at the first opportunity; Paixao he shoots hard at the near post and Maignan fails to hold on. In the 16th minute Joao Felix tries again, but once again the opposing goalkeeper blocks on the ground. In the 31st minute the duel between the Portuguese and Wellenreuther is repeated and once again the goalkeeper has the upper hand, parrying the Rossoneri attacking midfielder's shot. In the 37th minute Paixao comes close to scoring again; his curling shot hits the crossbar.

The second half begins with another dangerous conclusion from Feyenoord, this time with Beleen heading it centrally and Maignan saving it. Milan tries in the 71st minute with Reijnders stopping and shooting on the fly, but the ball ends up high. The best player on the pitch is definitely Paixao and in the 72nd minute he almost scores a wonder goal from midfield, finding Maignan out of position and grazing the post. Chukuweze, who has just come on, tries a conclusion in the 77th minute, but is unable to test Wellenreuther. The Rossoneri try a final assault, but never get close to scoring. It ends 1-0.

Conceicao's team reacted in the second half, but it wasn't enough against Feyenoord's great performance. Milan, like Atalanta, must win by two goals in the return leg at San Siro if they want to reach the round of 16.
