Serie A: victories for Roma, Cagliari and Lazio.

The first three games on Sunday saw Roma win by a narrow 0-1 away to Venezia, Cagliari win 2-1 at home in the relegation clash against Parma and finally Lazio overwhelm Monza 5-1.

Venice-Rome 0-1

In the first half, the Giallorossi made their presence felt right away in the 6th minute with Paulo Dybala, but his shot from inside the area was saved by Radu. In the 16th minute, the guests tried again, this time with Dovbyk, but once again Radu blocked the shot. Venezia responded in the 21st minute, when Yeboah shot from a corner, but Svilar was attentive and blocked the ball. In the 30th minute, Nicolussi Caviglia made an acrobatic save on the goal line from Mancini's attempt. Roma were still dangerous in the 37th minute, again with Dovbyk, but his header was blocked by Radu. The Verdeoro came close to taking the lead in the 44th minute with Marcandalli who headed it wide.

The second half starts off uphill for the home team; Angelino gets to the ball first and Marcandalli brings him down, it's a penalty. The penalty spot is taken by Dybala who doesn't miss and makes it 0-1. Dovbyk tries to double the score in the 74th minute, but his shot is deflected by a defender and doesn't hit the target. Venezia has the chance to equalise in the 86th minute with Maric who is anticipated by Mancini and fails to finish on goal. It ends 0-1.

Venezia increasingly in crisis, second to last at 16 points; the fight to stay in Serie A becomes increasingly complicated.

Ranieri's team gets their eighth consecutive positive result and keeps their hopes alive for the race for Europe.

 

Cagliari-Parma 2-1

In the first half, the first chance goes to Parma, with Bernabè sending a nice free kick just wide. In the 22nd minute, Cagliari responds with a low shot from Felici, Suzuki gets there and puts it in the corner. From the same corner, Mina rises to head the ball and hits the post for the home team. Parma scores in the 38th minute with Bonny, but it is disallowed for offside by Camara, who provided the assist. 

In the second half the guests were still dangerous with Sohm who headed all alone, but without finding the target. In the 54th minute Bonny dribbled everyone and kicked; his shot hit the outside post. Cagliari took the lead in the 57th minute thanks to an own goal by Want what a mockery Suzuki. In the 70th minute the doubling arrives with a great goal by Coman from outside the area. Parma shortens the gap in the 78th minute with Leoni who heads the ball in from a cross by Bonny. It ends 2-1.

Nicola's team gets three golden points in the key to salvation. The Sardinians detach Empoli, Como, Verona and reach Lecce at 24 points.

Pecchia's team loses its third game in a row and remains third to last with 20 points. If Parma wants to keep its salvation hopes alive, it must absolutely reverse course.

 

Lazio-Monza 5-1

In the first half, Zaccagni had the first chance to score in the 16th minute, but his header went wide. The game was unlocked in the 31st minute with Marusic who on Castellanos' side, hits a header and makes it 1-0. First half of the game with a slow pace and Lazio in complete control of the match.

In the second half, the Biancocelesti were immediately dangerous with Isaksen, but his free kick grazed the post. The doubling came in the 57th minute with Castellanos who served Pedro, the Spaniard makes no mistake in front of Pizzignacco. Five minutes pass and Lazio makes it 3-0; Castilians turns Zaccagni's assist into a goal. Monza doesn't seem to be on the pitch and after a wasted opportunity by Dele Bashiru, the 4-0 also arrives, again with PedroThe guests scored a consolation goal thanks to a penalty converted by Sensi. After just two minutes, Rovella serves in the area By Bashiru that this time is not wrong. It ends 5-1 at the Olympic Stadium.

Lazio wins by a landslide and returns to fourth place alone with 45 points. Baroni's team prepares to face league leaders Napoli on the next matchday.

Monza loses again and badly. The red and whites remain last at 13 points and there are discussions underway for the future of mister Bocchetti's bench.
