Serie A: Ostigard saves Genoa in the last minute, Lazio beats Cagliari 2-0.

In the postponed matches of the tenth round of the league season, Genoa won 2-1 in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo, while Lazio defeated Cagliari 2-0 at home. Ostigard's stoppage-time goal was decisive at the Mapei Stadium, securing three crucial points for the Grifone in their bid to stay up. At the Olimpico, however, the Biancocelesti prevailed in the second half with goals from Isaksen and Zaccagni.

Sassuolo-Genoa 1-2

The Rossoblù started with great aggression and came close to taking the lead after just 15 minutes with Vitinha and Colombo trying to sting the Emilian defence but failing to hit the target. The balance was broken by Malinovskyi In the 18th minute, a powerful left-footed shot from outside the box curled past Muric to make it 0-1 for Genoa. Sassuolo looked to equalize with Pinamonti, but his header in the 25th minute was too weak to trouble Leali. At the other end, Vitinha forced the Neroverdi goalkeeper into a tricky save, while shortly thereafter Leali did well to block an elegant but central backheel from Pinamonti. Before halftime, Genoa wasted the chance to double their lead when Colombo fired spectacularly over from a great position in the 39th minute.

In the second half the Neroverdi immediately found the equaliser thanks to Berardi. Following a corner kick, the captain was ready at the far post and scored the 1-1. The match now seemed headed towards a draw but Genoa did not stop believing and found the winning spark in the 93rd minute with a perfect free kick from Martin that found the net. Ostigard in the area, the Norwegian rises higher than everyone else and heads the ball in 2-1 definitive, giving the Ligurians three very precious points.

Lazio-Cagliari 2-0

The match started off evenly, with little excitement and a rather slow tempo. Sarri's team attempted to impose their play through possession, while Pisacane's team attempted to counterattack, capitalizing on the pace of their wingers. The first real scare came in the 28th minute, when Basic wasted a great pass from Zaccagni from a favorable position, firing high over the crossbar. The Biancoceleste number 10 himself came close to scoring a few minutes later, set up by Lazzari, but Caprile saved with a good save. In the 30th minute, Marusic attempted a shot from the edge of the box, but was once again saved by the visiting goalkeeper. Before halftime, Provedel had to intervene to prevent a dangerous right-foot strike from Folorunsho.

In the second half, the first chance fell to Cagliari. Gaetano found himself alone in front of Provedel but fired weakly, allowing the Biancoceleste goalkeeper to save. However, in the 65th minute, Lazio took the lead with Isaac who invented a great play, skipping past Palestra and Luperto with two feints and beating Caprile with a precise left-footed shot that curled into the corner. Cagliari responded in the final minutes with an attempt by Pavoletti in the 82nd minute, but the shot went wide. In stoppage time, in the 91st minute, the final goal came from Weather in Zaccagni, who takes advantage of a serious mistake by Prati and signs the 2-0 which ends the game.
