Fiorentina 1-2 Como | Inter 2-1 Sassuolo

Serie A: Como comes from behind to defeat Fiorentina, while Inter returns to winning ways.

Como and Inter Milan won their final two Sunday matches. The Como side secured the three points in the 94th minute thanks to Addai's goal, making it 2-1. Inter also achieved the same result, defeating Sassuolo at San Siro and moving up the table after two consecutive defeats.

Fiorentina-Como 1-2

Fiorentina started strong and immediately raised their center of gravity, imposing pace and pressure in the opening minutes. Como struggled to counterattack, overwhelmed by the Viola's pressing and physicality on the right flank. After just five minutes, the home side took the lead: following a parried free kick, Mandrake He collects the ball on the edge of the box and strikes home with a precise left-footed shot. Como tries to react by passing the ball around and involving Nico Paz and Morata between the lines, but Pioli's team remains compact, manages the ball well on the ground, and quickly looks for attackers in depth. Diego Carlos saves from Piccoli's dangerous cross, Perrone wastes a header, while Gosens wastes a good chance. Fiorentina leads in the first half hour, but towards the end of the half, the Como team raises the tempo: De Gea blocks Morata and Nico Paz, then in injury time, VAR disallows a penalty initially awarded for contact with Perrone.

In the second half Como found the net in the 68th minute with Kempf who rose into the box and headed past De Gea, bringing the match back to parity. The teams stretched out towards the end, and chances abounded. Sohm missed the target on the counterattack, Addai fired over, and Sergi Roberto fired wide from a good position. When Fiorentina attempted a final push, they were stunned on the counterattack. In the 94th minute Addai, triggered by the usual Nico Paz, leaves an opponent on the spot and signs 1-2.

Inter-Sassuolo 2-1

Inter started with intensity and created their first big chance within minutes. Carlos Augusto broke through on the left flank, entered the box, and fired a powerful shot, only to be saved by a reactive Muric. The Nerazzurri's lead was only delayed, and in the 14th minute, another decisive strike came from the left. Sucic rewarded the run of Marco's who beat the keeper with a precise first-time left-footed shot and put the home side ahead. Sassuolo tried to shake things up with a quick move from Koné, who sent Berardi through. The Neroverdi captain tried to find the net with his right foot, but the ball just missed the post. Grosso's team attempted to stay high but conceded too much space to Inter, who almost doubled their lead in the 28th minute. Dumfries crossed to Thuram, completely alone in the box, but the Frenchman wasted his chance, firing wide. Just before halftime, Esposito also had a go, doing well to shield the ball but sloppy with his left foot, which went over the crossbar.

In the second half, the narrative remained unchanged, with Inter dominating the game with quick exchanges, while the Emilians relied primarily on counterattacks orchestrated by Koné and supported by their attacking trident. The first excitement came with a shot from Dumfries saved by Doig and a curling shot from Laurienté controlled by Martinez. The Nerazzurri goalkeeper produced a miracle in the 62nd minute, with a prodigious save denying Pinamonti, who headed in a Doig cross. At the other end, Muric kept his team in the game with a stunning save on Esposito's half-volley and shortly thereafter with another save on Carlos Augusto, who had been set up by Lautaro. The Brazilian, however, still found a way to make his mark in the 78th minute when his shot, deflected by Muharemovic He wrong-footed the goalkeeper and gave the Nerazzurri a 2-0 lead. The own goal was later awarded to the Sassuolo defender. The match seemed over, but in the 84th minute, Cheddira capitalized on a lapse in concentration and closed the gap, making it 2-1. Inter made it 3-1 with Frattesi, but it was ruled out by VAR for a near-offside. The match ends 2-1.
