Il Milan has its new center forward: Alvaro Morata is officially a Rossoneri footballer. The Spaniard's choice of shirt number is newsworthy as, despite number 9 still being free, he opted for number 7. A concession from Adli, which instead will take the 94 from next season.

This is the official press release from the Rossoneri club: “AC Milan is pleased to announce that it has permanently acquired the sporting services of the footballer Álvaro Borja Morata Martín from Club Atlético de Madrid”. 

Captain of the Spanish national team, with which he has just become European Champion, Morata has signed a contract with Milan until 30 June 2028, with an option for another year.

In his career he wore the shirts of Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea e Atletico Madrid totaling 506 appearances and 172 goals, winning two Champions Leagues, a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup.

With the Spanish national team, with which he boasts 80 appearances and 36 goals, in addition to having won Euro 2024, he won the 2022/23 Nations League.
