Fiorentina-Sigma Olomouc 2-0
The first sign of the evening came in the 9th minute with Dzeko's header, but his effort was central and easy prey for Koutny. The Czechs responded in the 19th minute when Tkac created a splendid cutback, but was met with excellent opposition by De Gea. The match broke the deadlock in the 27th minute with Ndour's header. Little ones, who decisively attacks the space, enters the box and slips the ball past Koutny to make it 1-0. Fiorentina continues to push and comes close to doubling the lead in the 33rd minute when Ranieri's cross-shot hits the crossbar. On the rebound, Dodo puts the ball in, but his joy is cut short by the linesman's offside warning.
The second half saw Fiorentina dominate the pitch, with Sigma stuck in their own half. Piccoli had two chances to double the lead but couldn't find the target, while De Gea responded on the rare occasions when the visitors attempted to threaten. Despite their territorial dominance, the Viola struggled to close out the game, only managing to do so in the final minute of injury time. Ndour, already one of the best on the pitch, made it 2-0 with a powerful and precise shot that left Koutny no chance.
