The thirteenth sprint race of the season is taking place on the Indian circuit. Marco Bezzecchi took off in front of everyone for the 11 laps of the race, followed by Martin and Bagnaia ready to join in at the first braking point. When the traffic lights went out, Martin took the lead ahead of Bagnaia, Mir and Marc Marquez. Marini brakes hard in turn 1 and causes a front lock on his bike which, falling, ends up against his teammate Bezzecchi, who ends up wide and loses many positions. Marquez overtakes Mir on the second lap, while Martin impressively pulls ahead of Bagnaia. Binder, 5th, followed Mir, taking Quartararo with him. On the fourth lap Mir slips, while Bezzecchi tries to recover positions by climbing to tenth. On the sixth lap Zarco also falls, while Bezzecchi, who is the fastest on the track, after a couple of overtakings, rises to seventh. With 4 laps to go, Bezzecchi, unleashed, also overtook Miller for sixth place, while Aleix Espargarò crashed. On the last lap Bezzecchi also overtook Quartararo and finished 5th, while Martin, after 11 laps of solitary domination, crossed the finish line winning the first race in the history of MotoGP in India.
