TAF8: Spectacle inside and outside the ring

All TAF8 matches

TAF8: show inside and outside the ring.

On Saturday 15 March, the Allianz Cloud of Milano was the stage of Italian boxing. Spectators were able to admire the great professional boxers in action on a day full of emotions. In the eight matches played, four of which were titled, there was no shortage of punches. A show that went beyond the ring, with the presence of singers from the Italian Rap scene as a backdrop.

Six-round matches

The meeting between Kraiem and Amefiam. A match fought over six rounds, which saw an initial phase of study between the two boxers. From the middle onwards, Paul Amefiam goes on the attack and wins the challenge on points with unanimity from the judges. For Amefiam it is the fourth victory among the professionals.

The second match saw the two teams face off Nonkane vs. Vincenzo Lizzi. This last match, like the previous one, is initially balanced. However, Lizzi wins the match on points with unanimity from the judges. For Vincenzo it is the second victory among the professionals.

In the third match they challenged each other Diego Lenzi and Andrea Pesce. The first, nicknamed 'El Toro', started off as the clear favorite. Pesce, in the first round, took many hits, but did not give in. In the second round, however, Diego Lenzi won the match thanks to a technical KO on his opponent. For Lenzi, it was the second victory out of two in the professional world, each one by KO.

In the fourth and final match of six rounds the protagonists were Enache and Roberto Lizzi. The fight went to the end of the sixth round and Roberto won on points. A special evening for the Lizzi brothers who obtained two important victories.

Boxing and Rap Meet

Boxing and rap seem to be two distant worlds, but TAF8 has proven otherwise. The two worlds share a deep connection, rooted in the concept of struggle, redemption and identity. Both are born in difficult environments, where sacrifice and determination are the only ways to emerge. Boxers and rappers transform their reality into art: the former with their fists in the ring, the latter with words on a beat. During the Boxing evening at the Allianz Cloud, a special guest from the Italian rap scene took to the stage, Mondo Marcio, as a testimony to this bond between the two realities. Furthermore, all the boxers were accompanied in the ring by songs from the Rap world. One above all, Momo Elmaghraby who was accompanied by Jake La Furia himself, a historic rapper who became famous with Club Dogo.

The matches titled on ten rounds

The first titled match is the one between Bologna and Falcinelli. The two face each other for the Italian Superwelterweight Title. For this match, the arena was transformed into a cauldron, thanks also to the cheering of the many Tuscans present to support Bologna. Bologna seemed to have the upper hand in the first four rounds, but Falcinelli took it well. From the middle onwards, the match reversed, with Falcinelli on the attack and Bologna trying to resist the blows. After ten rounds, the match was decided on points. The overall vote of the three judges decreed a total draw between the two boxers. Bologna, who was the reigning champion, therefore defended the Italian title.

The second titled match is the one between Momo Elmaghraby and Leonetti. The two face each other for the IBF Mediterranean Light Heavyweight Title. In the first five rounds the pace is very low, with very few punches from the two boxers. The match heats up in the sixth round. Elmaghraby suffers a wound that does not allow him to continue fighting and therefore the match will be decided on points. The judges award the title victory to Momo Elmaghraby, with the Allianz Cloud crowd surprised, who expected a completely different verdict from what they saw in the ring.

The co-main event match features Paparo and Enchiri Warehouse Italian Super Featherweight Title. The first one starts immediately on the attack, with the second one on guard. In the second round Paparo wins by KO over Enchiri and defends the Italian title. This decision also leaves doubts in the Allianz audience. In fact, Paparo would have landed the decisive blow, while Enchiri was on the ground.

We have arrived at the last match, that is the main event between Oulare and Kogasso. The two face each other for the Italian Light Heavyweight Title. From the first round, Jonathan Kogasso seemed to have the fight in hand, holding the center of the ring. In the second round, Kogasso landed the knockout blow on his opponent Oulare. Kogasso needed only two rounds to win the match and claim the light heavyweight title.
