Belluno: “An excellent result thanks to teamwork”, the Mayor on Sport Business Forum

"I felt an atmosphere similar to the one I breathed in the Olympic and Paralympic villages in the six editions I participated in as an athlete. It was a great emotion and a successful bet, for me, to see this spirit spread in our City. Thinking our territory increasingly as a point of reference for sport, making it a real Sport Valley where you can find synergy between sport, business and excellence, is possible and this first edition of the Forum was an example of this. Belluno is an Olympic city and province and last weekend it proved it".

Thus the Mayor Oscar DePellegrin, after the three-day event that saw the capital as the protagonist of the event promoted by Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti and which brought many well-known faces from the national and international sports scene to the historic center.

“With this beautiful goal scored – continues the Mayor – I think that we can look with even greater enthusiasm to the challenges that await us in 2026 and beyond. The Olympics and Paralympics will be an extraordinary opportunity to promote our city and our territory, enhance our excellence and attract tourists from all over the world; they will bring direct benefits in terms of investment and tourism spending, will promote jobs and will increase GDP. The rest is up to us to do, and it is a great responsibility. It's up to us to ride the wave, seize the opportunities. After last weekend I can say with certainty that we started off on the right foot, the direction is set and all that remains is to continue working together to bring home many other results".
