Serie A, advances: salvation victories for Bologna and Spezia
Spezia flies with Piccoli and Maggiore, Cagliari sinks into the relegation zone. In the other match on Saturday, Mihajlovic's Bologna, two goals down, overcame Crotone and took a decisive step towards safety.
SPICE – CAGLIARI 2-1
After a high-intensity first half, the goals all arrived in the second half, with Spezia bringing home a match full of goalscoring actions and emotions. The goals from Piccoli and Maggiore give three fundamental points to the Ligurians, while Pereiro's goal is not enough for Cagliari. In the final seconds, a goal by Joao Pedro was disallowed by VAR. CROTONE - BOLOGNA 2-3
Incredible comeback for Bologna who, trailing 2-0 at half-time, found the strength to score three goals to take home an important match for survival. The home team ended the first half with a reassuring double lead thanks to goals from Messias and Simy (from a penalty). In the second half Bologna entered with a different attitude, crushing Crotone in their own half. After having closed the gap with a goal from close range by Soumaoro, assisted by Palacio, it was Schouten who invented a curling shot that went under seven for the momentary equaliser. In the 84th minute the freezing shower arrives for Serse Cosmi: Palacio's shot blocked short by Cordaz and a winning tap-in for Skov Olsen who gives the victory to Sinisa Mihajlovic.
