Grosseto: Environmental protection and good practices for football facilities

The municipal council approved the project "Environmental redevelopment and education - sports/football areas", on which the Environment office worked, in order to contribute to the redevelopment of the areas used for football facilities present in the hamlets of the municipality of Grosseto, with a view to good environmental practices and environmental protection.

The project aims to valorise and economically and technically support the commitment of those entities that intend to guarantee the possibility of reaching the virtuous goal, through the circular economy, of valorising those areas of social interest that are part of the urban and non-urban fabric.

The initiative is only the first step of a long journey promoted by the Environment office of the Municipality of Grosseto, the result of a medium and long-term project. The desire, in fact, is to extend the retraining to all other sporting realities and beyond, providing a virtuous service to young people even outside the school context.

A non-repayable loan of 10 thousand euros will be provided to encourage project proposals for the redevelopment of the aforementioned areas. Any residuals compared to the total expected parking will be assigned until exhaustion to the candidates present in the ranking according to the order of merit for a maximum contribution of one thousand euros to cover the 50% share of the total expenditure incurred.

To submit the application, interested legal entities must complete a form and sign it, accompanied by the following documents: preliminary level project tables; technical/descriptive report; estimative metric computation; certification issued by the supplier that the material you intend to install is made with recycled material; the details of the bank or postal account in the name of the company into which the contribution is to be paid. The application and related attachments must be sent via certified email to the address comune.grosseto@postacert.toscana.it, no later than 12.00 on 9 April 2021, with the object of the "Redevelopment and environmental education of sports/football areas" project. The subjects deserving of contribution will have the burden of carrying out the work referred to in the preliminary project no later than six months from the approval of the merit ranking.

The merit ranking will be drawn up from the eligible requests. At the end of the procedure, the managerial decision to approve the projects will be published in the "Consultation of body documents" section of the Municipality's homepage. The application form and the text of the notice will be published on the online noticeboard of the Municipality of Grosseto in the next few days.
