Sondrio: extraordinary territorial control services ordered by the Police Chief throughout the province.

The State Police of Sondrio conducted an important extraordinary territorial control operation in the province, in which personnel from the Anti-Crime Division and the General Prevention and Public Aid Office of the Police Headquarters and the Crime Prevention Department of Milano.

The checks were ordered by the Police Chief of the province of Sondrio in the urban centers of Sondrio, Morbegno, Chiavenna and Villa di Tirano and surrounding areas, among the most frequented during the weekend, especially by young people.

The activity involved the busiest roads in the province with checkpoints to verify the flow of cars entering and exiting the aforementioned Municipalities and, above all, the public places reported with critical situations for public order and safety that made it necessary for the State Police to intervene specifically through administrative checks.

As part of the services provided, 29 public establishments including bars and pubs were administratively checked, including 10 owners of videolottery and games and bets; following the checks, 5 administrative fines were issued to 3 premises in the municipalities of Chiavenna and Morbegno.

Over the course of three days, more than 40 vehicles and more than 250 people were checked, 80 of whom had previous police records.
